Our Focus Areas

We specialize in two primary disciplines - Product and Design/UX.  With product, we help set strategy, define or clarify KPIs, facilitate execution and measure/optimize results. 

With design/UX, we usually simplify to match the user/customer intent and run various processes to deeply understand what user intent is.  The design and experience should be optimized for conversion or user success and then we make it aesthetically pleasing.

We have collectively launched or helped hundreds of digital products in dozens of industries.  We have attracted 100MM+ users to products we have built, designed or evolved. And we have raised directly or helped raise over $25MM in Venture Capital.  We have worked in virtually every industry from FinTech, Consumer, SaaS, HealthTech, Social Media and Application Design/Utilities. 

Why We are Different

Most consulting entities are trying to find ways of extending billable hours through extraneous process and extra steps.  We do not operate in this way and our typical engagements range from 3 - 9 months because we get in, execute, train up or help hire resources to continue on our path, and then we move on.  In this way, we are like a mercenary product team for hire.  

We also take very little time to get up to speed on an industry, vertical or product because of our extended experience working in 100s of different industries.  

How we charge

The majority of our engagements bill on a monthly retainer.  This allows us to focus and execute on various needs dynamically without having to slow down to re-write scope every couple of weeks.  We produce what the business needs in real-time.  

This also helps us function as operators within a business.  Clients don’t have to worry about excess hourly bills racking up if we join calls with customers or jump on internal discussions with the team.  We can be entrenched like full-time employees and clients know exactly what they will be paying each month with no surprises.

Client Success

We have only ever relied upon word-of-mouth referrals from clients who are very pleased with how we helped them.  So we are extra incentivized to do great work, although we would do this anyway as a function of our character.  

We also don’t believe in locking in clients for extended periods.  We are fine with month-to-month agreements because we believe you should only be using us if you are getting maximum value for your spend.  Every dollar matters at the growth stage of your business and we would scrutinize our spend rigorously if we were on the founder side of the business as well.

Availability

Finally, we don’t take on more than 2-3 clients at once and we often choose to focus exclusively on 1.  This allows us to focus intently on helping and do our best work.
